Taking a detour

Welcome back!

I’m taking a break on project Blue Moon to work on something a little different.

Making a game in Flash has its benefits, but without a dedicated game engine to build upon, it was always going to take me ages to make it (by myself). I’m still dedicated to finishing Blue Moon, but right now I want to work on something that I can finish quickly. That’s why I thank the heavens (or creator Chris Jones, either one) for Adventure Game Studio! AGS is a freeware tool that specializes in the creation of old school point & click adventure games like Monkey Island. It’s super easy to use and even easier to wrap your head around thanks to these awesome video tutorials by Youtube user densming.

Again, this doesn’t mean I’ve given up on Blue Moon. In fact, I was thinking that if the Flash version goes down well, then maybe an iPhone version could be in order, but that would be subject to who wants to help program it! I wouldn’t mind splitting the profits with someone. We could be zillionaires!
